Registration

We kindly ask you to use truthful personal data during registration at our auction house. This will help to avoid all problems during invoicing, shipping items and dealing with potential problems.

Please be aware that to complete the registration you need to provide and confirm the correct phone number and email to be able to register.

In order to be able to participate in the Live sale please complete the profile and check your bidding limit 1 business day before the Live sale starts otherwise you can miss desired items.

Bid limits/References

Bidding limit allows to place limits and bids during pre-bidding and live sale. This includes winning limits and already won items in 1 sale. The standard limit for any new users is 500 EUR after completing the registration on our platform. To increase the limit you need to provide us with References during the registration process and to request the desirable amount in your profile. Reference may include: Auctions, Professional shops and sellers (f.e. Registered on eBay or MA-Shops and etc.), and other user registered on our platform who can confirm your credibility. In order to accelerate this process you can send us paid invoices from other Auction Houses (sensitive data might be blurred) or ask mentioned above to contact us and confirm.

To be able to bid for an amount higher than 10000 EUR you need to submit your ID in your profile. ID is a national identification card or passport. The Driver's licence won't be accepted. All documents you provided will be stored according to GDPR rules of the EU.

Selling Your Collectibles

  • To consign new items contact us by email [email protected] or messenger and send us pictures of items you want to sell.
  • After checking the items by our experts, we will contact you back with our framework agreement. You will need to sign it and send it back to us. This document will be available to view and download in your user profile.
  • Register on our website and your account will be activated as a seller. You will be able to see your items in our catalogue and their status after the sale.
  • Standard commission is 5% but might be different by agreement depending on the items offered for sale.
  • The standard pay-out period is 30 days after the date you received the results of the sale to your email. This might take longer if items are not paid. Uncertified chinese coins are paid-out according to agreement but not sooner than 180 days.
  • Items unpaid in 60 days can be relisted for future sales, offered to underbidders or returned to the seller by his request.

Grading Services

As an official dealer of PCGS and NGC, PMG and more grading companies, we submit collectibles for certification services to mentioned companies for users of the auction platform by their request.

Official grading company’s prices: PCGS (coins), PCGS (banknotes), NGC, PMG

Shipping fee is 20 Euro per 1 submission form. You can add a maximum 20 items per form of 1 price category or type of items.

Our service fee is 2 Euro per 1 item.

21% VAT will be added to the total amount of the order.

Limits can be placed until the last call of a particular lot coming to the live sale.

Partner platforms:

Limits are also allowed to be placed on our partner’s platforms and affiliates. All limits should be placed until 1 hour before the live sale starts otherwise they will not be uploaded. The equal limit placed on our portal is prioritised to the limit placed through the other platform.

Live bidding is available only at katzauction.com

Purchase fee

The total fee is 22% but not less than 4 EUR if nothing else is stated in the description of the lot.

Invoice

You will receive a request for payment during 3 business days after the Live sale. It will be also available for viewing in invoice overview on the platform.

In case you did not receive it by email, you can find your invoice here. Just choose the sale and click on Button “OPEN” on the top left corner next to payment instructions.

If you have not found the invoice please contact us by email or messenger.

After the payment you will receive an official invoice.

Shipping

What shipping method do we use?

All packages are insured for a full invoice value and dispatched from Czech Republic and can be sent via:

  • Czech Post
  • DHL
  • FedEx
  • UPS

After receiving your package, please check the containment immediately in front of the courier/postman in order to be able to claim damages/theft issues. We are not responsible for third-party companies’ services.

I did not receive a tracking number for my package.

  1. Shipping process starts 1 week after payment due is sent out. Due to the huge volume of orders, it might take more time to be dispatched.
  2. All dispatched shipments’ owners receive automatic tracking email confirmation after sending a package
  3. In case you did not find your tracking number email you can click on: here. Then choose the auction you want to track and find a tracking number at the right top of the page. To track your package use 17Track system: https://www.17track.net/en. Please be careful and choose correct carrier

My collectibles were dispatched a while ago, but I have not received them.

Registered mail:

In case your package was sent via registered mail. According to Czech Post rules they have 45 days for delivery. If the mentioned period has been reached and you did not receive your package, contact us to apply for a claim. Otherwise we are not able to affect the shipping process.

Payment

Which payment method can I use?

  • We accept different payment methods:
  • Bank Wires in following currencies:EUR, CZK (no fee for domestic payments), USD, and GBP
  • Credit Cards (3% fee is added)
  • PayPal (5% fee is added)
  • Cryptocurrencies: BTC, ETH (the current rates are on the payment page) (2% fee is added)

The payment is due within 10 days after the auction. In case the payment is not received in the mentioned period, we are allowed to add late payment fee of 1% of the total invoice sum per day and to block further purchases on the platform. For prompt payment we offer discounts mentioned in auction conditions of a particular auction sale.

Returns

What is your return policy?

In case you are not satisfied with your purchase, you can return the items within 14 days after receiving them. The return postage is paid by the buyer. In case of proven authenticity issues, we cover the return postage and provide a full refund.
